200-hr Teacher Training

A 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training allows the student of yoga to go deeper, whether to teach yoga in public or private spaces or to gain the knowledge required to build a committed practice on one's own and for personal use.

A teacher training is a powerful tool, like a prolonged retreat, that asks students to turn toward patterns, the mind, the body, and the heart, in order to build habits of clarity, purpose, and the power of community.

This particular TT is based in Santa Barbara, California, but can be live-streamed from anywhere with internet access, without losing the tailored attention of the teachers or the sense of community that we work hard to foster.
Our particular approach to teacher training includes the following key focus points:

  • Building a community of trust by creating dialogue and communication skills

  • Focused self-inquiry through sacred texts found in Yoga, with a particular focus on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Bhagavad Gita, with some introduction to non-dual Tantra and the individually tailored practices of transformation taught in the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra

  • A par-none look at the deep anatomy of the subtle body, with education on such systems as the Chakras and "kundalini" energy that are often misunderstood by most modern lectures and trainings

  • The breath, sometimes called the ceaseless prayer (ajapa japa), as the foundation of asana and the blueprint of the body

  • The trauma response and physiology: the brain, the nervous system, fascia, and the physical link between mind and body

  • Yoga restoratives, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Asana

  • How to cue and how to theme intelligent yoga classes

  • Hands-on assists, or how to bring positive and healthy touch back into our practices

  • Non-duality

  • An introduction to Yoga Nidra, or the yoga of deep rest and inquiry

Your Teachers

You are in good hands as you deepen your yoga journey!

Dora's passion for trauma informed practices, physiology, the nervous system weave into her skillful and Tantra-based approach to self-inquiry and holistic stress management. She is a former medical researcher turned holistic stress & resilience coach, trained in Holistic Nutrition, Yoga, Integrative Restoration Meditation (iRest), Reiki and Yoga Therapy.  Her lineage is Richard Miller, phD, and his teachers (Jean Klein and Ramana Maharshi).

Cynthia is a devotee of the divine feminine.  Her 25 year passion for sacred texts, the science of the energy body, non-dual inquiry, yoga, the Goddess shows in her approach to teaching asana, philosophy, Yoga Therapy, Tantra, and the breath.  With her you will look at known and unknown texts and the beloved systems of the energetic body, like the chakras, delivered with historical accuracy, clarity, and correct application.  Her lineage goes through Sally Kempton, Bonnie Greenwell, Rupert Spira (Jean Klein and Ramana Maharshi) and other Shakta traditions.

Jazmin's classes inspire strength, flexibility, inquiry, laughter, and ease. Balanced between alignment and flow, insight and curiosity, Jazmin’s thoughtfully sequenced classes are a vessel to explore inner peace, deep listening, compassion, and, ultimately, love. Her main teachers are Colleen Saidman Yee and Rodney Yee (BKS Iyengar).
